Mrs. Alka Sharma, Founder and Principal Consultant, is a highly respected name in the hospitality industry with nearly four decades of distinguished experience in Housekeeping and Property Operations.

Her career spans leadership roles with some of the finest luxury hotel brands, including Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and the Taj Group of Hotels, where she served as Director of Housekeeping and Corporate Housekeeper. In these roles, she was deeply involved in end-to-end hotel operations, pre-opening planning, and the establishment of exacting housekeeping standards aligned with global luxury benchmarks.

Mrs. Sharma has played a pivotal role in the opening and repositioning of several landmark properties, including:

• The Oberoi, Mumbai (Re-opening)
• The Oberoi Bogmalo Beach Resort, Goa
• Taj Srinagar
• Taj Morocco
• Taj Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru

She has also overseen housekeeping operations for some of the most celebrated palace hotels in the country, such as The Taj Lake Palace, Rambagh Palace, and Falaknuma Palace, ensuring service excellence in heritage luxury environments.

Her experience further extends to international hospitality brands, having worked with Howard Johnson, where she successfully led the opening of their Bengaluru property.

Expertise Beyond Hotels

In her most recent corporate role with Indiabulls Real Estate, Mrs. Sharma was responsible for upgrading and managing large-scale commercial and residential assets. She led the transition of residential flats and office spaces from project teams to operations, bringing structure, service orientation, and long-term maintenance strategies to complex real estate portfolios.

Her expertise seamlessly bridges luxury hospitality, residential developments, and commercial facilities, making her uniquely equipped to advise on diverse property types.

Consulting & Recognition

As a consultant, Mrs. Sharma has worked closely with the MRS Group and has been involved in the opening of a luxury hotel project in Manali (Himalaya). Across her consulting assignments, she has handled projects at multiple levels—strategy, operations, training, and implementation.

Her contribution to the profession has been recognized with the H&FS Award for Best Housekeepers in Asia, underscoring her commitment to excellence and leadership in the field.
